Local Author Receives Book Award Honor

Psychologist and suspense novelist Freda Hansburg, has been chosen as a Finalist in the Thriller category of the 2019 Next Generation Indie Book Awards, for her thriller Tell on You.

Tell on You (Micro Publishing Media, 2017)is a psychological suspense novel about a married teacher’s dangerous infatuation with his beautiful16-year-old student, whose bad intentions rival those of her teacher.  The fast-paced story unfolds through the shifting perspectives of its main characters.Tell on You explores themes of obsession, family trauma and the darkness and confusion at the heart of troubled adolescent girls.


Her second thriller, Shrink Rapt, is now available from Micro Publishing Media, and her new medical thriller, Suffer Little Children, will be released by Red Adept Publishing in 2021. Freda is co-author with Mel Silberman of the self-help books PeopleSmart: Developing Your Interpersonal Intelligence – a bestseller translated into a dozen languages – and Working PeopleSmart. She has lived in the South Carolina Lowcountry since 2015, where she is working on her next psychological thriller, Trick or Treat, and her Pickleball game.
